Day 1. Arrive Paro – Thimphu sightseeing

  • Upon your arrival at Paro International Airport, your guide from Bhutan Mystical Tours will warmly greet you and provide a briefing on your exciting tour program.

  • From there, we will embark on a scenic 1-hour drive to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan.

  • En route, you will have the opportunity to visit Tamchog Monastery, located a few kilometers outside of Paro. This historic site was established by Thangthong Gyalpo, a revered Tibetan blacksmith saint who arrived in Bhutan in 1433 in search of iron ore. 

  • Upon reaching Thimphu, we’ll drive uphill to the Buddha Dordenma Statue (Highlight of the Tour). This impressive statue, made of bronze, stands at an awe-inspiring height of 169 feet. From this vantage point, you’ll be treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the Thimphu valley.

  • Next, we will visit the National Memorial Chorten, a revered monument dedicated to the Third King of Bhutan, His Majesty King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. This landmark is a significant place of worship for the locals and an excellent spot for capturing the spiritual essence of Bhutan.
