Upon your arrival at Paro International Airport, your guide from Bhutan Mystical Tours will warmly greet you and provide a briefing on your exciting tour program.
From there, we will embark on a scenic 1-hour drive to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan.
En route, you will have the opportunity to visit Tamchog Monastery, located a few kilometers outside of Paro. This historic site was established by Thangthong Gyalpo, a revered Tibetan blacksmith saint who arrived in Bhutan in 1433 in search of iron ore.
Upon reaching Thimphu, we’ll drive uphill to the Buddha Dordenma Statue (Highlight of the Tour). This impressive statue, made of bronze, stands at an awe-inspiring height of 169 feet. From this vantage point, you’ll be treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the Thimphu valley.
Next, we will visit the National Memorial Chorten, a revered monument dedicated to the Third King of Bhutan, His Majesty King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. This landmark is a significant place of worship for the locals and an excellent spot for capturing the spiritual essence of Bhutan.
